Nanna Dietzel is a queen of Danish design. The industrial design of the 20th century was the prerogative of men but she was able to change that. The main Nanna’s inspiration was time — new materials and equipment appeared, which she immediately wanted to use.
In the late 1980s, Dietzel began working against strict functionalism and began to promote individuality, masterfully experimenting with materials. This is how the concept “Bench for Two” appeared, which was the first joint project of Dietzel and Fredericia. The shape of the bench echoes the romantic images of the 70s, and a non-trivial performance shows Dietzel’s mastery.
